After a long wait, the female lead for Ashutosh Gowarikar's epic love story 'Akbar Jodha' has been finalized.

While Hrithik Roshan was already zeroed in for the role of Akbar [now this should be an interesting sight on the screen], Jodha would now be played by, hold your breath, none other than Aishwarya Rai!

Interestingly both of them have also been cast together for the action thriller 'Dhoom II', that belongs to a tangentially different genre.

In addition to 'Akbar Jodha', Ash would also be seen in other historical flicks like Raj Kumar Santoshi's 'Prithviraj-Samyukta' and J P Dutta's take on the life of Maharani Gayatri Devi.
