The trailer of Kootathil Oruthan` directed by Gnanavel and starring Ashok Selvan, Priya Anand and Samuthirakani has just been released and it is quite a breath of fresh air after a long time for its simplicity.

The story is obviously about an average guy Aravind (Ashok Selvan) who seems to fall for the front bencher (Priya Anand). The young and talented Ashok Selvan fits the bill perfectly with spectacles and aptly costumed and his voice modulation is excellent. Priya Anand is back after a long gap, but still looks her usual assured self. There seems to be a mystery surrounding Samuthirakani`s character and Bala Saravanan is the quintessential hero friend again. Pramod`s cinematography and Nivas Prasannas` music complement the theme. Director Gnanavel who has written dialogues that were the talking point in Payanam` and Raktha Charithram` is in his elements as he clearly drives home his messages. On the whole a trailer that succeeds in selling the film to the viewer and kudos to the team.
