Young actor Ashok Selvan of Thegidi` fame is now doing Nenjamellam Kadhal` directed by Nirman and another untitled film directed by Metro`, Ananda Krishnan.

For the Anand Krishnan movie a dangerous stunt sequence was filmed in the rough seas of Pondicherry. According to Ashok Selvan he had to jump into the water for a take and unfortunately drank a lot of sea water. Unexpectedly at the same time a high tide upset the boat in which the director was manning the helicam and it almost hit Ashok Selvan who was struggling in the waters, but he managed to go underwater and escaped. The fishermen who accompanied the director felt that this could have resulted in certain death and the hero however remained shaken but unhurt to the relief of all concerned.
