A 26-year-old youth in Kerala has been arrested following the 'suspicious' death of his 51-year-old wife. The deceased identified as Sakha Kumari was admitted to a hospital on Saturday after she suffered an electric shock.
Her husband Arun, told the doctors that she got electrocuted from the Christmas decor. As the doctor found the claims of Arun to be suspicious and completely contradictory to the preliminary examination of her body, they alerted the police. Meanwhile, some relatives of Sakha Kumari also alleged a mystery behind the death as the couple were not on good terms of late.
Soon Arun was taken into custody and the Police confirmed that the woman's death was a murder. After rigorous interrogation Arun admitted that it was he who electrocuted his wife, who is from a wealthy family. He revealed that was upset about the age gap between them and that he wanted a divorce. Shakha had also refused to give divorce. This led to the crime, said the Police, who also found that earlier Arun tried to electrocute Shakha by taking connection from the electric metre. However, Shakha escaped without injuries.
Arun had married Shakhakumari, who is from a wealthy family, only two months ago. According to reports, Shakha and Arun got married after they fell in love. However, the couple fought frequently after marriage. According to the neighbours, Arun was provoked when their wedding photo was released online. There were also fights over the fact that their wedding was not registered so far.
