Actress Asha Sharath's daughter Uthara is all set to make her acting debut, alongside her mom, in the upcoming film of State Award winner director Manoj Kana's film 'Khedda.' The real life mother-daughter will be playing the same roles in the movie too.

A pooja ceremony of the film was held recently at Alappuzha following which the movie started rolling.

The movie's cinematography is by Prathap V Nair and editing is by Manoj Kannoth. Benzy Nazar is producing the film under the banner of Benzy Productions.

Uthara is an engineering graduate from BITS Pilani and has been active in dance and drama clubs ever since her school days. She has also been supporting her mom with her global online classes. In an interview to TOI, the budding talent also expressed her excitement to start her acting career.

Meanwhile, Asha who recently wrapped the shoot of Drishyam 2, is working in debutant Shamseer’s film Rest in Peace, as Joju George’s heroine.
