Popular actress Asha Sarath is so highly rated that she caught the eye of Ulaganayagan Kamal Haasan who worked with her in two of his films 'Papanasam' (she reprised her role from the original 'Dhrishyam' opposite Mohan Lal) and 'Thoongavanam'.  Asha had posted a video in which she tells the people that her husband Zachriah is missing for a few days and she does not know where he is and worried about him.  She has also requested anyone who finds him or has any information about him to contact the Kattappanna police station.

The video from Asha Sarath's facebook page has gone viral garnering more than a million views but later it was found that it was a promotional video for a new movie 'Evide' directed by KK Rajeevkumar that released on 4th July.  

There has been heavy backlash from followers of Asha Sarath who felt cheated and at the same time a few have also appreciated the novel marketing strategy as well.
