Asha Sarath had been absent from tinsel town for a while. The actress is back with a bang with 'Paavada' in which she performed a role charged with emotions. Her role in the movie was that of Prithviraj's mother. The role was supposed to be played by ace actress Shobana. Later, Asha got the chance to do the movie.
Asha Sarath has played the role to perfection. She says her role as Sicily in the movie was perhaps her best till date. She says that it was an emotionally exhausting role as she had different eras to play. The elder Sicily, took a lot of effort. Dubbing too was a very demanding task with the modulation variations. Asha Sarath says that she had no inhibitions playing the role and that she was not affected by image. She also found her role important as it gave a pertinent message to aspiring actresses.
