Ash vs. Ratnam in round one!

  • IndiaGlitz, [Thursday,April 09 2009]

In what’s proving to be a clash of the Titans, director Mani Ratnam and acclaimed actress Aishwarya Rai-Bachchan are having a small tussel and it’s all about pancake! Ratnam’s reasoning is that since Ash’s character has been abducted in the second-half, she shouldn’t have any make-up on in an effort to show her pain and grief. The actress completely disagrees.

The set-side report is that while the exacting and strict director wants Ash to go bare faced, the beauty queen seems to be having a tough time sticking to instructions. She manages to sneak on to the set with minimal make-up. But the eagle-eyes Ratnam is quick to spot that her face has been done up. With neither of the big icons backing down, this one struggle promises to grow longer than Hanuman’s tail. The film is expected to be ready for release in 2010.
