Actress Aishwarya Rai re-united with Anil Kapoor (on-screen, though) after 18 long years during the on-going shooting schedule of her upcoming film titled as Fanney Khan.
It may be recalled that Ash and Anil starred in back-to-back blockbusters in 1999 (Taal) and 2000 (Hamara Dil Aapke Paas Hai) after which both of them are coming together now after 18 years to work in Fanney Khan whose shoot was held across a busy street in South Mumbai’s Colaba.
Atul Manjrekar is directing the duo in the film which also has Rajkummar Rao, Divya Dutta and Anaitha Nair, ace hockey player-turned-actress essaying prominent roles. Amaal Malik scores the film’s music while Tinu is the cinematographer of this musical comedy, which is expected to release in theatres during mid-April next year.
Ash, who turned 44 a week ago but still looks fresh and fit, reportedly shot for 12 hours non-stop for the film, which is the remake of the Dutch film Everybody’s Famous. She and Anil were emotional when they met for the film’s shoot after 18 years and shared among them their sweet memories of the past.
