So when his Asahdyudu is set for release, he cannot afford to be complacent. Now he has a reputation to live up to.
But he is happy that Asadhyudu has turned out to be a promising venture. This gritty action adventure pits him alongside with Diya.
Kalyan Ram is confident that newcomer director Anil Krishna will deliver the goods for him. When Surender was introduced by Kalyan in Atanokkade, he was an unknown quantity. Now Surender is a sought-after director. Similar things will be heard of Anil Krishna is his opinion.
Anil Krishna was comfortable handling Kalyan. He is a director's actor. `We got what we wanted from him,' he says appreciatively. Anil's punch dialogues for Kalyan would be one of the highlights of the movie.
Diya, like Sindhu Tolani in Atanokkade, is a comely cum glamorous girl. She has been quite a name in Tamil. Diya hopes to make a mark in Telugu through this movie.
Luckily for Kalyan, in Vallurpalli Ramesh he has got a producer, who does not baulk at any cost or effort. He has been spending money to give the film the right feel and emotion.
Chakri's music is already a big talking point. Out of the seven songs, four are of the mass variety.
Asadhyudu is set for mid-February release.
