As Pokiri is celebrated, Ileana is thankful

It's today in 2016 that 'Pokiri', easily the best film in Mahesh Babu's career in terms of dialogues, hit the screens.  A run-away blockbuster, it established Mahesh as a massive star.  

Ileana D'Cruz wouldn't have become a big star had it not been for this Puri Jagannadh movie.  "Can’t believe it’s been 12years!! So many lovely memories attached to 'Pokiri' for me. Such a big turning point in my career! My first film with @purijagan and @urstrulyMahesh..I’m so glad @ManjulaOfficial convinced me to take this on," the actress says.

Apart from the mind-blowing screenplay (especially the climax), Puri's scintillating punch lines, Mani Sharma's songs, Prakash Raj's villainy, and the rom-com track made 'Pokiri' an industry hit.
