Small film producers have cried foul during the days when normalcy prevailed in the state of Andhra Pradesh, saying that the big hero films do not allow them with theaters to screen their films at all. Now with the release of big budgeted films falling in an uncertainty, small films have been striking the Box Office like never before. In the past 8 weeks, as many as 50 films have seen light which in ordinary circumstances would have struggled to. While it can be seen as a positive sign, the negative side is also alarming. With no film able to strike a chord with the audience before the release thanks to the lack of time for proper promotion, they are unable to create any impact on the opening day at the Box Office and subsequently turning damp squibs. The only films that could make some impact in the past two months are again from known production houses like Maruthi's 'Romance', Damodar Prasad-Indraganti AMAT and Manoj's 'Potugadu' (though the last cannot be termed as a small film)

But this is not deterring the small film producers from flocking the Box office. This Friday, there are as many as ten films being released with ‘Welcome Obama’ a Singeetham directorial, ‘Police Game’ a Sri Hari starrer and ‘Mahesh’ again from Maruthi’s house being the only ones that have some curiosity among the audiences. Narayana Murthy’s ‘Nirbhaya Bharatham’ may have some openings coz of the expected hard hitting nature of the filmmaker and the kind of promotion he’d been doing to this film. Break Up looks promising with its title and the touted screenplay technique used in the film.

Here are the ten films that are releasing on the 20th September. Break up, Music Magic, Mahesh, Veerappan, Police Game, Nirbhaya Bharatam, Welcome Obama, E Rojukaina, Barrister Shankar Narayan, Mamatha Darling. Need to see any film other than the ones mentioned can come out and spin a surprise at the Box Office.
