It cannot get any more momentous for Balakrishna.

The star, who desperately needs a hit to pick up the shreds of his career, will be testing the waters with his Allari Pidugu. Directed by Jayanth C Paranji, this is the ultimate test for Balakrishna.

Though the actor has nothing left to prove and not that he is not without any more films, Allari Pidigu is a big one for him in terms of confidence and morale. As every one knows, Vijayendra Verma was a whimper. And his life itself was in a shambles before that.

So the importance of Allari Pidugu cannot be over stressed. But Balakrishna is happy that the film has indeed shaped up well. It is a gritty entertainer and that will have attractions every section, he says, stating the obvious.

The two heroines, Charmi and Katerina Kaif, are said to have equal footage. Balakrishna is playing a double role.

Mani Sharma’s music has indeed captured the imagination of the public. Now the film has to follow suit. The film is set for release later this week.
