Aryas reality show leads to a court notice

Arya and his reality show are in trouble.  A PIL was recently moved before the Madurai Bench of the Madras High Court against his reality show Enga Veetu Mapillai aired on a Tamil channel.

A women's rights activist named Janakiammal has described as "feudal" the show's very concept.   In the said show, 16 women try to impress Arya, who is on a lookout for the right girl to marry.

As per the petitioner's argument, the show commercializes the interests of women.

The Court on Tuesday suitably issued a notice to Arya, the channel, and the producers. The next hearing is on April 18.
