Nalan Kumaraswamy is one of the pioneers of the new-age filmmakers who migrated to films through short films. His debut movie 'Soodhu Kavvum' starring Vijay Sethupathi is hailed as a cult classic and his follow-up 'Kadhalum Kadandhu Pogum' with the same hero also received praise.

Recently Nalan also delivered 'Adalum Padalum' in the 'Kutty Story' anthology films starring Vijay Sethupathi and Aditi Balan which again showed that he is in his quirky best form as usual in spite of the long gap between his films.

Now the good news for Nalan fans is that Arya is going to play the lead in his next movie which belongs to the fantasy romance genre and the shooting is expected to begin in a few week's time. Studio Green K.E. Gananavelraja is bankrolling and the official announcement is expected soon.

Arya meanwhile is awaiting the release of 'Teddy' which is going straight to OTT on Disney Plus Hotstar streaming from March 12th onwards. His next after that is the much awaited 'Sarpatta Parambarai' directed by Pa Ranjith.
