Arya, a Kerala boy who made big success in Tamil cinema was earlier destined to debut in Malayalam with Mohanlal in 'Casanova'. But when the shoot of the movie was shifted many times, Arya was forced to back out from the big movie.

But now the actor has decided to embark again on another project by Roshan Andrews as his film for Mollywood landing. This time, instead of Mohanlal, Prithviraj will be his costar in the lead.

Arya whose original name is Jamshad Cethirakath, began his career as a computer engineer. The intense cinephile in him helped to start in Tamil with promising films like Jeeva's 'Ullam Ketkume' in 2005. His first release was 'Arinthum Ariyamalum' which was a noted flick of the year. Thereafter many major successes followed him in Tamil including 'Vattaram', 'Pattiyal' and the national award winning 'Naan Kadavul'. His new release is 'Madrasapattinam'- a period film which is also faring well at the box office.
