Kamal Hassan's recent Hindu terror remarks in a famous magazine column has earned him condemnation from the BJP as well as pro-Hindu organisations nationwide. Even a case has been filed against the actor in Uttar Pradesh regarding the same.

In light of this, Arvind Swamy has stepped up as a sign of support to Kamal to explain what is terrorism in his social page. He stated that terrorist is a person who uses unlawful violence and intimidation, especially against civilians in pursuit of political aims.

Hinting at the violent outbursts from some leaders, Arvind Swamy also went a step further by saying that extremists should never be seen to represent the faith itself.

In addition to this actor Karunakaran has challenged naysayers to debate with Kamal face to face and prove his statements wrong.
