Arvind Swamy made a stunning debut opposite Rajini and Mammootty in Mani Ratnam's 'Thalapathy' and ever since that has been maintaining the same fan following over the past few decades. After a self-imposed exile from Kollywood, he made a remarkable re-entry as a villain Siddharth Abhimanyu in 'Thani Oruvan' directed by Jayam Raja and starring Jayam Ravi.
Arvind Swamy was reportedly offered a major role in Ajith's upcoming movie 'Thala 60' directed by H. Vinod but has politely refused due to his commitment to 'Thalaivi' the Jayalalitha biopic in which he plays the role of MGR. Most actors want to share the screen with Thala Ajith just to experience the good-hearted charisma of the mass hero but apparently Arvind Swamy who is a good friend had to forego this time.
