Surender Reddy's film with Ram Charan, a remake of the Kollywood blockbuster Thani Oruvan, has gone on the floors today. (Aside from this big-ticket film, NTR's Janata Garage is the other big film to go on the floors today). Arvind Swamy, the veteran Tamil actor of Roja and Bombay fame, is reprising himself in this remake. Besides him, Rakul Preet Singh, the female lead, has joined the shoot.

Ram Charan will join the shoot sometime in the first week of March. Produced by Allu Aravind and NV Prasad, the film has Charan playing an IPS officer for the first time after his Bollywood debut Zanjeer (Thoofan in Telugu).

While the makers are tight-lipped about the release date, it has been rumoured that the film will hit the marquee on August 12 or a bit later. For all the speculation that the title is Dhruva, the title has been kept under the wraps. It will be announced soon.

Hip Hop Adi (Hip Hop Tamizha0) is scoring the music.

Nasser and Posani Krishna Murali are playing important roles here. Cinematography is by Aseem Mishra. Art direction is by Nagendra. Editing is by Naveen Nooli.
