All theaters in Tamil Nadu opened today ending the week long strike but footfalls are a record low as movie goers are not showing any inclination to watch old movies and even other language new releases. Arvind Swamy has shared his views on how the producers could benefit more in place of the digital service providers taking all the revenues.
Arvind Swamy who is also a highly successful businessman in his own write has advised " It is my opinion that if a producer pays a company for mastering or VPF, the content cannot be tampered with. People come to watch the content and therefore all ad revenues on content should be with the producer. It may be fair to share it with the Exhibitor.
He adds " The producer should be able to decide which advt and at what price, is exhibited with the content he owns. The revenues would be fairly substantial and will rightly go to the person who invested in the content. Not the person who enables the technology."
Arvind Swamy's next release is 'Bhaskar Oru Rascal' directed by Siddique costarring Amala Paul and his films under production are Mani Ratnam's 'Chekka Chivantha Vaanam', 'Vanangamudi', 'Sathuranga Vettai 2' and 'Naragasooran'.
