South Indian cinema industry's two handsome actors - Arvind Swami and Kunchacko Boban - are prepping up to team up for an upcoming bi-lingual titled 'Ottu'. To be helmed by Fellini TP of 'Theevandi' fame, the upcoming movie is touted to be a friendship tale that is happens in between Mangalore and Mumbai states.
Talking about the movie in an interview with a newspaper, the filmmaker said that 'Ottu' will be a road movie that will be released in Malayalam and Tamil.
The movie will mark the Mollywood comeback of Arvind Swamy after almost 25 years. In Malayalam, the actor was last seen in Devaraagam (1996). On roping in Arvind for the film, the filmmaker said that he had been discussing the project with the actor for over 2 years now. The actor loved the idea of the film after three sittings and immediately signed the project that is scripted by S Sajeev.
Music director AH Kaashif, who had composed for Pathinettam Padi, and editor Appu Bhattathiri are part of the crew. The team is yet to finalize the female lead characters.
Ottu was supposed to go on floors last year but because of the pandemic, the team had to delay it. If all goes well, the movie is expected to go on floors in March with Mumbai, Goa, Mangalore, and Udupi being the main locations.
