After Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal made a controversial claim that he would get killed by his personal security officers someday, he later responded to criticism regarding the statement from BJP leader Vijay Goel on Monday, stating that it was Prime Minister Narendra Modi who wanted to have him killed, and not his PSO.
During a report to a news channel in Punjab on Saturday, Arvind Kejriwal stated that he would get assassinated by his own security officers someday, the same way it happened with former PM Indra Gandhi. “BJP would get me murdered by my own PSO one day like Indira Gandhi. My own security officers report to BJP,” he said. BJP leader Vijay Goel slammed Kejriwal for the statement on social media, posting a tweet that read, “I’m sorry that by expressing suspicions about your own PSO, you have given a bad name to the Delhi Police. It would be better if you choose your PSO. Let me know if you need any help. Wish you a long life.”
In response to Goel’s criticism, Kejriwal said that it was actually PM Narendra Modi who wanted him dead, and not his PSO. “Vijay ji, not my PSO but it is Modi ji who wants to get me killed,” his post (translated from Hindi) read.
विजय जी, मेरी हत्या मेरा PSO नहीं, मोदी जी करवाना चाहते हैं। https://t.co/2jCwJPOca8
