‘Aruvi’ has already wooed fans with its unique stills, posters, teaser and a music album that seems radical in contemporary film music. The much awaited official trailer of the film released this evening in the web to a positive reception from viewers.
The well cut 144 second trailer is a stretched out elaboration of the previously released teaser. However, it still doesn’t fail to raise eyebrows as it gives us glimpses into some deeper aspects of the film’s theme and its characters.
Aruvi is shown as a kid, a adolescent girl, a grown adult and one could discern from this that the film will not only talk on heavy existential topics such as consumerism, globalisation, a pointless lifestyle and politics, but also will be a treatment of life from a growing woman’s perspective.
Aditi Balan is scarily impressive for a debut performer even in the trailer’s few visuals. A bharatanatyam dancing, school going girl is shown transforming into a cigarette smoking, and in an other shot blood smeared in front of a serious police investigation.
What could be the reasons for these contrasting changes in her character? What could be the driving force behind an innocent girl’s well protected life could be what ‘Aruvi’ is all about from the impressive trailer.
Produced by Dream Warrior Pictures and directed by Arun Prabu Purushothaman, ‘Aruvi’ is all set to startle audiences from December 15.
