Mollywood heartthrob Prithviraj is teaming up with Aruvi movie fame Aditi Balan for an upcoming investigative thriller in Malayalam, titled Cold Case. Helmed by cinematographer-turned-director Tanu Balak, the movie went on floors on October 31 in Trivandrum.

The movie's director had also shared a picture from the launch that was attended by most of the cast and crew members. From the picture it is evident that the team is filming by adhering to mandatory Covid-19 guidelines.

Prithviraj plays an investigative officer in the film while Aditi Balan's character is under wraps. Most of Prithvi's scenes are set indoors and only a few scenes with crowds, say reports. Prithviraj, who was tested positive for COVID-19 on the sets of Jana Gana Mana, recently recovered from the deadly virus.

However, he is maintaining another week of quarantine for safety reasons. The actor will be joining the sets after completing the remaining portions of 'Jana Gana Mana' directed by Dijo Jose.

Cold Case marks Aditi Balan's second Malayalam project after Nivin Pauly-starrer Padavettu, which is yet to hit the big screens.

Produced by Anto Joseph Film Company along with Plan J Studios, the screenplay of the movie is penned by Srinath. Editing is by Shameer Muhammed and Cinematography by Jomon T John. Cold Case has a screenplay by Srinath, and music by Prakash Alex.
