Actress Aditi Balan, who had been an advocate earlier, was a part of movies like Yennai Arindhaal and had later made her debut as a female lead with the 2017 movie Aruvi. Directed by debutant Arun Prabhu Purushothaman, the movie produced by Dream warrior pictures became a huge success.

Aruvi had won critical acclaim for Aditi Balan's performance, and after this movie, there were lots of speculations on her second movie. While fans were expecting the actress to be a part of a Tamil film, the actress is now set to enter Malayalam film industry.

Aditi Balan's second movie as female lead will be Padavettu, which marks her debut in Malayalam. This movie directed by debutant Liju Krishna was launched today officially and will have Aditi Balan paired with actor Nivin pauly of Neram and Premam fame. This movie is produced by actor Sunny Wayne.
