When you are with IndiaGlitz, you always get the advantage of knowing things much ahead than others. Exactly a week ago (15 March to be precise), we reported that actor Arunpandian and producer Michael Rayappan would be fielded as DMDK candidates.

This became official on Monday evening, when DMDK founder and president Vijayakanth released the list of 41 candidates of his party who would face the April 13 elections to the Tamil Nadu Assembly.

While Arunpandian, a popular actor and a good friend of the Captain has been announced as the DMDK’s contestant for Peravurani constituency, producer Michael Rayappan, an important office bearer of the DMDK, will contest from Radhapuram.

Vijayakanth, as against media reports that he would fight the poll battle from Virugambakkam in Chennai, is entering the fray in Rishivandiyam constituency in Villupuram district.
