The much awaited film 'Arundhathi' stars Anushka in a predominantly heroine centric role. The film was expected to be released on Sankrathi but then the thinktank behind the film declared it will release on the 15th. According to reports coming in now the film's release has been postponed by one more day.

Made with a huge budget of over 15 crores by Shyam Prasad Reddy for Mallemala Entertainments, the film is directed by Kodi Ramakrishna.

Set on a backdrop of past vengeance (1920s), the film is coming with high anticipation on spectacular visuals as evident from the trailers. Anushka plays a dual role that gives her a change over from glamorous roles that she had been hitherto donning.

The USP of the movie is the Computer Generated Imagery (CGI) part, sound and spectacular visuals.

Sonu Sood, Sayahi Shide, and Deepak are also in the cast and play significant roles.
