Last Friday around 3am actor Arun Vijay had apparently rammed his car on a police van parked in front of the Nungambakkam Police Station. It was reported that the Yennai Arindhaal` actor who was with his wife had consumed more than the allowable alcohol limits and as his car was seized, he had gone missing and the police issued a warning that an arrest warrant will be issued if he does not appear before them.

Arun Vijay surrendered at the St. Thomas Mount Police station today and was later produced at the Egmore Court where he procured bail. Actor Vijayakumar assured the cops that he will do all repairs to the damaged vehicles but refused to speak to the awaiting media. Arun Vijay meanwhile has issued the following handwritten statement to his fans and well wishers.
