The COVID 19 pandemic that disrupted normal life all over the world for the past two years showed some respite for the past few months. Just when it looked like normalcy is here to stay the virus under the variant Omicron is running rampage currently. Lockdowns in a staggerred manner have been announced in several Indian states and in Tamil Nadu too.

In the past few weeks several Kollywood celebrities including Kamal Haasan, Arjun, Vadivelu and others tested positive for the coronavirus and recovered after treatment. Now the latest to join the list is action hero Arun Vijay.

AV has shared on social media "Hi everyone!! This is to inform you'll that I have been tested positive for COVID-19. I am currently under home quarantine and following all the safety protocols as per my doctor's advice. Thanks for all the love..Stay safe & take care everyone."

Arun Vijay has several films in various stages of production such as 'Borrder', 'Oh My Dog', 'Agni Siragugal', 'Boxer', 'Sinam' and 'Yaanai'.
