Dhanush took the internet by storm as he announced the details of his next film. The actor is teaming up with director Arun Matheswaran for an upcoming film titled Captain Miller. As the announcement came as an unexpected surprise, fans are now waiting eagerly for this action thriller to hit the theatres at the earliest.

In a recent interview, Arun also opened up about how he landed on Dhanush to portray the lead in this film. He said, “This is an interesting fictional character that I’ve created with the intention of making an action film on a grand scale. While I did not have anyone in mind when I started writing, halfway through the process, I felt that Dhanush would be perfect for this role. I like him personally for how he’s able to be both a huge star and a terrific performer. The story unfolds over 15 years of this character’s life, so I knew that he’d capture the different timelines of a person’s life very well. There’s action and a range of emotions, and I felt that he’d pull it off the best.”

Shreyas Krishna will be handling the cinematography while Nagooran is the editor. Sarpatta Parambarai fame Tha Ramalingam has been roped in as the art director. Poornima Ramaswamy, who won the National Award for her work in Paradesi, is the costume designer of the film, with Kavya Sriraam handling Dhanush’s costumes. Dhilip Subbarayan will be in charge of the stunts.

The film is presented by T.G. Thyagarajan of Sathya Jyothi Films and produced by Sendhil Thyagarajan and Arjun Thyagarajan. According to reports, this film is going to be the biggest budgeted film in Dhanush’s career. The versatile actor also has other ventures in the pipeline including Thiruchitrambalam with director Mithran Jawahar and the Tamil-Telugu bilingual flick, Vaathi with director Venky Atluri.
