In the wake of the Pulwama terrorist attack, Finance Minister Arun Jaitley on Friday said that India will take all possible diplomatic steps to ensure the “complete isolation of Pakistan” after the attack took the lives of nearly 40 CRPF personnel in Jammu and Kashmir. The most favoured nation status which was granted to Pakistan in 1996 has reportedly been withdrawn.

“The ministry of external affairs will initiate all possible steps, and I am here referring to all possible diplomatic steps which have to be taken to ensure the complete isolation from the international community of Pakistan. The ministry of commerce will take the necessary steps to withdraw most favoured nation status given to Pakistan,” the Union Finance Minister said.

In a gruesome terrorist attack on a CRPF convoy in Awantipora in Jammu and Kashmir yesterday, at least 40 jawans have been killed, while several others have been injured after a militant of Jaish-e-Mohammad drove an explosive-laden vehicle into a bus in the Pulwama district.
