The sequel of Akshay Kumar's 2013 film 'Oh My God' went on floors few days ago. Actor Pankaj Tripathi is currently filming for his parts and he'll soon be joined by Akshay as well. Recent reports suggest that cast of 'Oh My God 2' is going to have a spectacular addition. Actor Arun Govil, who is known for portraying Lord Ram in 1987 TV show 'Ramayan', is going to reprise his role in this film.
'Ramayan' of 80s in one of the best shows that Indian television has produced till now and Arun Govil's portrayal of Lord Ram is etched in the memory of audience. Since Akshay Kumar plays a character inspired by Lord Krishna, it'll be delightful to see him and Arun side by side playing Ram and Krishna. "There is no other face more recognisable to play Lord Ram than Arun Govil. It was a decision that the makers took unanimously,” a source told Koimoi.
Directed by Ashwin Varde, the film also stars Yami Gautam in an important role. While the first movie targeted blind faith and religious malpractices, the sequel is supposed to highlight shortcomings of our education system.
