Top Bollywood producer Boney Kapoor forayed into South Indian cinema by producing Thala Ajith's 'Nerkonda Paarvai' directed by H. Vinod which became a commercial success as well as garnered critical praise. He immediately started his second venture 'Valimai' with the same combo of Ajith and Vinod which is fifty percent complete and the rest of the shooting will be held once the coronavirus pandemic ends.

'Valimai' has music score by Yuvan Shankara Raja and cinematography by Nirav Shah with Thala Ajith, Huma Qureshi, Yogi Babu, Pearle Manney and Karthikeya in the cast. On the auspicious day of Vinayagar Chathurthi, Boney Kapoor announced his next Tamil film.

The untitled project is the remake of the critically acclaimed HIndi movie 'Article 15' directed by Anubhav Sinha and starring Ayushmaan Khurrana and Nassar. The Tamil version is directed by Arunraja Kamaraja of 'Kanaa' fame and has Udhayanidhi Stalin in the lead role. The rest of the cast and crew details will be unveiled soon.
