'Manu', a crowd-funded film featuring Brahmanandam’s son Goutham and Chandini Chowdary in leading roles, has been written and directed by Phanindra Narsetti, who has made short films in the past.

The film has been promoted as an epitome of experiments. Talking about the art work in the film, the makers say, "Artist Srikanth Babu's work plays a major role in communicating Manu's deepest thoughts in the movie. Character wise, Manu's work as an artist and painter is very dark which is typically a contrast to Srikanth's usual work, which deals a lot with Cubism and Indian mythology featuring Padmanabha Swamy and Lord Shiva in a majority of works."

Also, the film is CG-free despite boasting of several trick shots. "Every trick shot you see in 'Manu' is 100% on-set, in-camera achievement. Some inputs were given during the shoot to choose VFX for particular shots but the director, from the beginning wanted things to be practical and hates the idea of a green screen," a statement from Nirvana Cinemas says. Music is by Naresh Kumaran. Set Designing is by Shiv Kumar. Sound Designing is by Sachin Sudhakaran, Hariharan (SYNC CINEMA).

The film's Trailer will be out on August 12.
