Two medium budget films clash this weekend - 'Guddu Rangeela' and 'Second Hand Husband'. Of course, former has more star value attached to it with Arshad Warsi leading the show. Moreover, he also returns with Subhash Kapoor after Jolly LLB, which lends further credibility to the film. While Amit Sadh (Kai Po Che), Aditi Rao Hydari (Murder 3) and Ronit Roy (2 States) are reliable actors, one waits to see how they have performed in a largely fun entertainer like this.

From the opening perspective, Guddu Rangeela should take a decent start since audience has been waiting for a new worthy film for a fortnight since ABCD 2. However, it would be growth over the weekend that would be the deciding factor as the film would need to sustain well over the weekdays too for bringing in good numbers.

The other release of the week, Second Hand Husband, has Gippy Grewal as the star material for audience up North, and basically in the Delhi-Punjab belt. Gippy's counterpart Diljit Dosanjh is on a record spree with Sardaar Ji entering its second week after being a blockbuster already. This has showcased once again that audience are in for entertainment if given good content and now that Gippy is making his Bollywood debut, it should help Second Hand Husband in the Punjabi dominated territories for sure. In the rest of the country, it would all boil down to audience word of mouth as critics views won't really matter.

Meanwhile Bezuban Ishq (Mugdha Godse, Sneha Ullal), which was supposed to release last week, would hit the screens this week. However, it doesn't stand much of a chance.
