Enforcement Directorate sources have on Monday confirmed that London's Westminster Court has issued an arrest warrant against Nirav Modi. It's known that the government of India had requested the fugitive's extradition from the UK.

Nirav Modi is accused of defrauding the Punjab National Bank of Rs 14000 Cr in collaboration with certain rogue employees of the bank.

Modi's arrest is now said to be imminent. The Indian authorities are proactively seeking his arrest. A provisional arrest warrant is said to be in place.

Earlier this month, the diamond magnate was found walking on the streets of London. Ever since, the disenchantment among the government's critics has been higher. If he is brought back, the NDA government can cover itself in glory.
