A.R.Rahman's six month research for 'Kaaviyahthalaivan'

Vasanthabalan’s ‘Kaviyathalaivan’ a period flick based on the lives of people belonging to Tamil theater groups in 1920s has music scored by A.R.Rahman. This has become one of the most expected albums of the year since the double Oscar winner will be scoring for a Tamil film with period effect after a long time.

Rahman has said in a recent interview that he always indulges in research before working on a period flikc. The ‘Isaipuyal’ revealed that he took more than six months to research about the music of that era and culture of the time.

The film that stars Siddharth and Vedhika in lead roles will have eight songs in the audio track. Rahman revealed in another interview that he has finished composing the last song for the film.

‘Kaviyathalaivan’ has been produced by Y NOT Studios and Radian Group. The film has an ensemble cast that includes Prithivraj, Nasser, Thambi Ramaiah and many others.
