A.R.Rahman gets his 29th

The Filmfare awards are considered one of the people in top recognitions for film industry. The award functions held every year can be termed as the most joyously and cheerfully celebrated film events of a year.
The 61st South Indian Filmfare award ceremony held last night was no inferior in celebration and glitterati with a galaxy of South Indian stars including Ulaganayagan' Kamal Haasan, gracing the occasion.
In Tamil Director Ram's Thangameenkal' which has won the National award for the Best Tamil film of 2013 and many other awards and recognitions also won the Best Film (Tamil) award given by Filmfare. Anandha Yazhai' song from the film which won Na.Muthukumar, his maiden National Award for Best Lyrics has won the Filmfare award for Best Lyrics and Best Male Play Back Singer to Sriram Parthasarathy.
Another highly acclaimed film of 2013 Paradesi' also won a few important awards In Filmfare. Its Director Bala and lead actor Athavaa won the Best Director and Best Director awards respectively. Dhanshika who played a strong supporting role of a courageous single mother in the film won the Best Supporting actor (Female) award.
Debutante director Atlee's Raja Rani' which was one of the commercially successful and critically acclaimed films of the year won the Best Actress award for its lead heroine Nayanthara. Veteran actor Sathyaraj has been adjudged the Best Supporting Actor (Male) award for his performance as Nayanthara's affectionate and understanding father in the film.
Isaipuyal' A.R.Rahman won his 29th Filmfare award for his Musical score in Mani Ratnam's Kadal'. Shakthisree Gopalan won the Best Playback singer (Female) award for her rendering of the super hit Nenjukkulle' song from the same film.
