A.R.Rahman gives three new songs for Mani Ratnam film

Director Mani Ratnam's latest youthful romantic super hit 'O Kadhal Kanmani' is presently being remade in Hindi as 'OK Jaanu'. Oscar winning composer and Mani Ratnam's regular music partner A.R.Rahman had composed super hit songs for the Tamil version. Given the immense popularity of the composer in Bollywood, tit was decided to retain the songs composed for Tamil with Hindi lyrics by Gulzar.
But now we learn that the Isaiupual will compose three new songs for the Bollywood version directed by Shaad Ali, a former associate of Mani Ratnam. These songs will be used in place of 'Parandhu Sella Vaa', 'Sinamika' and 'Malargal Kaetten' that were part of Tamil version.
'Ok Jaanu' stars Adithya Roy Kapoor and Shraddha Kapoor in lead roles. Leela Samson who played in important role in Tamil has been retained for the same role in Bollywood version while Naseeruddin Shah has been roped in for the role played by Prakash Raj in Tamil. Ravi.K.Chandran is handling the cinematography for the Bollywood flick while its Kollywood version had P.C.Sreeram as its lensman.
