It is no secret that A.R.Rahman is the busiest music director of the country and he has been working simultaneously in films of multiple language for years. However he is a great patron of Art and he proved this trait recently being taking part in the 100th show of veteran theater artist Y.G.Mehandra's 'Paritchaikku Neramachu' held in Chennai a couple days ago.
Rahman enjoyed watching the drama and also spoke at the event and distributed mementos to the performers. Y.G revealed that Rahman flew down from Los Angeles of USA exclusively to watch the stage performance and thanked him for the kind gesture. He also recalled how Rahman would promptly reply to his emails praising his music compositions and also to those with slight criticism.
The Oscar Nayagan in his speech appreciated the UAA Drama troupe of Y.G family for upholding the stage drama with its vibrant character. He also conveyed his wish to create an art center in Chennai like the Broadway Theater in New York.
Rahman also recalled how his father Sekar used to be associated with the UAA trope as a music director and he is an alumnus of Padma Seshadri Bala Bhavan school in Chennai run by Ms.Y.G.Parthasarathy, mother of Y.G.Mahendra.
