A.G Perarivalan is one of the life-term convicts in the Rajiv murder case who has been undergoing imprisonment for 26 long years. Currently, he is on parole staying in his Jolarpet residence with his mother Arputham Ammal and father Gnanasekaran.
Perarivalan was granted a one month parole for the first time in 26 years last month after his mother requested the state's Chief Minister Edappadi.K.Palaniswami. His mother Arputham Ammal who has been striving continuously for her son's release has now requested the government to extend Perarivalan's parole on the basis of his ailing father Gnanasekaran's falling health condition who is 75 years old now.
Perarivalan who is restricted to give interviews to the media under the parole, is being visited by politicians and supporters at his residence regularly.
