Army major kills fellow officer’s wife unable to get her

In a shocking news, an army major has allegedly killed his colleague’s wife in Meerut, Uttar Pradesh. The 40 year old officer, Nikhil Handa was arrested on Sunday according to reports.

The victim is Shailza Dwivedi who is the wife of a fellow officer, also an aspiring model. Dwivedi’s body was found near Brar Square in Delhi cantonment area with her throat slit. The incident came to light after the victim’s husband found Handa in the CCTV footage of a hospital where Dwivedi had gone for a physiothrapy session and therafter missing.

Following a complaint, the police found the body on Saturday.  Handa was found hiding in Officers’ Mess in Meerut Cantonment. Major Handa is also married with two kids. According to cops, Handa and Dwivedi were allegedly having an affair.

It has also been found that the murder was premeditated as Handa was found to have two knives inpossession.It is also worth mentioninghere that cops had to search through 200 CCTV footages and 500 guest houses in Meerut to close in on Handa. After committing the muder Handa had also borrowed Rs.20,000 from his brother. 

Dwivedi has also worked as a lecturer in an University for five years following which she worked for an NGO as well. Reportedly Handa had reportedly fallen in love with Shailza and unable to face rejection, had resorted to kill her in cold blood.
