Army depot explosion kills 6 in Wardha

Near an ordnance depot of the Indian Army in Maharashtra's Wardha district, an explosion today killed about 6 people, injuring 10 others. Four of them died on the spot, while two others were brought dead in a hospital.
As per reports, the deadly blast happened around 7.15. More than a dozen contract labourers were working at the site when the blast happened. "The blast took place in one of the ammunition boxes in an open land," a news agency reports. "While carrying out the demolition of old explosives by the staff of the Ordnance factory in Khamaria, Jabalpur at the demolition land in Pulgaon there was an accident," BB Pande, Defence PRO Nagpur told another news agency.
This incident is actually second such one in just the last couple of years. "In 2016, 16 people were killed in a blast at the ammunition depot at Pulgaon," PTI reports.
