AR Murugadoss, the pan Indian director that he is, is as per reports taking his magnum opus with Ilayathalapathy Vijay, ‘Thupaki’ to the North as well! If industry insiders are to be believed Akshay Kumar will reprise Vijay’s role in this remake and a hunt is on for the lead lady.

Akshay Kumar is touted to have given his consent to be a part of this project where he will be playing an encounter specialist, despite the ‘n’ number of scripts that are already lined up for him.

Ever since AR Murugadoss delivered blockbuster ‘Ghajini’ in Hindi with Aamir Khan and Asin (Suriya played lead in original) in 2008, several top notch actors have been eyeing him. He even won a couple of awards for his remake and has a couple of scripts lined up with the King Khan, Shahrukh Khan in the near future.

‘Thupaki’ featuring Ilayathalapathy Vijay and Kajal Aggarwal in the lead roles is a high voltage action entertainer that also has no dearth for comedy with Sathyan on board, sentiment, romance and drama. It is one of the most eagerly awaited films this year and Vijay will be seen in a suave new avatar.
