The nation’s pride AR. Murugadoss was in Bangalore on Sunday to direct the first shot of ‘Suryakanti’ Kannada film starring Chethan and Regina in the lead role. The film is directed by Murugadoss friend KM Chaitanya who shot in to fame from ‘Aa Dinagalu’ block buster. For the first shot he directed Jnanpith award winner Girish Karnad sounded the clap board while Dr. Jayamala, Karnataka Film Chamber of Commerce President switched on the camera.

The simpleton to the core AR Murugadoss later speaking to Kannada film journalists said his lifetime ambition is to direct a Hollywood film. From Dheena, Ramana, Stalin, Ghajini in Tamil and Hindi I have thought that my film should be viewed by the world he said.

Recalling his younger day’s trials and tribulations in life AR. Murugadoss one of the five best directors of South India said Aamir Khan starring ‘Ghajini’ film earned Rs.250 crores for the investment of Rs.35 crores. He agreed that the shades of his life are found in ‘Ramana’ (starring Vijayakanth) Tamil film.

Asked on the next Bollywood star he is catching up he said one round of discussion has already taken place with Shah Rukh Khan and everything is at the fluid stage. He announced that he will be taking up one Tamil film shortly.

I got the three times of payment for Hindi version of ‘Ghajini’ compared to the Tamil original ‘Ghajini’. Murugadoss feels it is not an easy task to remake a film.

AR Murugadoss shared the dais with Jnanpith award winner Dr. Girish Karnad at the media address. In his address he said it is always the second film that is difficult to direct when the first film is a hit. He wished his internet friend KM. Chaitanya all the success in his second Kannada film ‘Suryakanti’.

The fan following for AR. Murugadoss was huge at Dharmagiri Sri Manjunatha Swamy temple in Banashankeri in Bangalore. The ever smiling ARM greeted his fans with lot of patience.
