The makers of Priyadarshan's ambitious project 'Marakkar: Arabikadalinte Simham' have unveiled a new poster, introducing action king Arjun Sarja's character in the movie. The actor is playing a warrior named Anandan. The movie is Arjun’s second outing in Malayalam after making his debut last year with ‘Jack and Daniel'.
A day ago, Keerthy Suresh’s character look was unveiled. As the audience has already given a thumbs up to the movie's first look posters, expectations around the project are sky high!
The film which is set during the era of the 16th century in Kerala is based on the legendary sailor Kunjali Marakkar IV, which is played by Mohanlal. The period drama has a stellar cast of Manju Warrier, Suniel Shetty, Arjun Sarja, Suhasini, Nedumudi Venu, Innocent, Mukesh, and Hareesh Peradi among others. Pranav Mohanlal will also be seen doing a cameo in the movie. Several foreign actors are also said to be acting in the film.
Antony Perumbavoor is bankrolling the project under the banner of Aashirvad Cinemas. 'Marakkar' will hit screens simultaneously in Malayalam, Tamil, Telugu, and Kannada. A Hindi version is also expected. The film is currently in its post-production stage and is expected to hit the big screen on March 26.
