Arjun's new, young heroine

Popular Malayalam actress Aswathy, who is playing Mohanlal’s pair in his next film, 'Alexander The Great', is ready for a big launch in Kollywood, through Arjun’s next film, 'Mei Kaan'.

The actress, an 18-year-old from Asin’s St Theresa College, Ernakulam, will play Arjun’s love interest in his next action flick, ‘Mei Kaan’. The film will be directed by Major Ravi, whose films have evoked a lot of interest, owing to his expertise in the army. The director has 'Aran', starring Jeeva and Gopika, and 'Mission 90 Days' to his credit and will team up with Kollywood’s most famous action hero, Action King Arjun, for this film.

Ashwathy Ashok has been signed up to play his heroine in the film, and the actress is also beginning work soon on her Mohanlal project. But the actress, who is excited about her Tamil debut, says she is looking forward to her shooting in 'Mei Kaan', which is an action thriller. The movie is scheduled to be shot extensively abroad, in Singapore and Hong Kong, apart from Ottapalam in Kerala.

Ashwathy is one of the upcoming heroines as she has been launched by popular director Fazil, whose heroines have all been popular, both in Tamil and Malayalam. Examples for this would be Nadiya, Kushboo and Shalini, who have been the reigning queens of South Indian films in their carrier.
