Arjun to wear Kakhi yet again

'Action King' Arjun is considered as one of the fittest among South Indian actors to don cop roles . Film like 'Jai Hind', ‘Chengottai’,’Mankatha’ are a few of the film in which he acted as a police officer and these films are super hits. He also directed a sequel to ‘Jai Hind’ which release last year.

After ‘Jai Hind 2’ it was being said that he will be directing a film with his daughter Aishwarya in lead role with another hero. But now there seems to be a change in plan and the ever smart actor will be acting as a cop hero in a film to be directed by Arun Vaidhyanathan. The film is going to be produced by I Studios who funded 'Kappal'.

In this yet to be titled action entertainer Arjun will play the lead role of a honest police officer while Sneha has been signed up for the female lead. Sneha has already acted with Arjun in films like ‘Chinna’ and ‘Vandhe Matharam’. She was also the female lead of Arun’s crucially acclaimed debut directorial ‘Achamundu Achamundu’.

Speaking about the film, Arun Vaidyanathan says, " I am very particular on the change of genres in every film of mine. Achamundu Achamundu was based on a theme of social reference , My next 'Peruchazhi' with Mohan lal sir, was based on Political satirical comedy.I took enough time to draft my next script, as i was particular on another genre of films from my earlier projects. I struck an idea of a Stylish and innovative cop. After developing the script with writer Anand Raghav, I conveyed this idea to Mr Sudhan and Mr Uma Shankar of I studios, they were thrilled too.Our ultimate choice to play the protagonist was Arjun sir. Arjun sir as a cop, he has got a 'Believe it' theory.He is not the typical screen cop who goes over the top to prove in this film. He plays a perfect real time cop, cool and calculative. This will be a mega budget crime thriller. Various other big names will also decorate the cast list. We are in the process of bringing the best of the technical team to support our dream of making a perfectly blended stylish thriller. The locations are being discussed right now. I am sure this film will have the best technical team and cast possible."

The shoot of the film is expected to begin soon.
