Senior actor Arjun Sarja, who is popular among the Telugu audience for popular titles such as 'Gentleman' and 'Oke Okkadu', has announced the inauguration of the Lord Hanuman temple he has constructed over a period of four years.
Going into details, the building of the temple began years ago on a plot owned by the actor near the Chennai International Airport. On July 1 and 2, its Kumbabhishekam rituals will be live-streamed via Arjun Sarja's YouTube channel.
"The original plan was to make the inaugural a grand affair. Due to the pandemic, it will be a low-key one. However, for the benefit of those who want to watch the rituals, I am going to live-stream them," the multi-lingual actor said.
In the past, a report said that the Lord Hanuman murti in the temple is the first of its kind by virtue of it being in the sitting posture. The idol reportedly weighs 140 tonnes.
Arjun has been an ardent devotee of Anjaneya Swamy. He famously played the God Himself in 'Sri Anjaneyam', the Nithin-starrer semi-devotional directed by Krishna Vamsi. The film had fantasy elements and it was admittedly based on some true miracles.
