'Arjun Reddy' remake teaser lacks intensity

'Varma', directed by Bala, is the Tamil remake of 'Arjun Reddy'. Its Teaser is out and while it seems to be a faithful remake, the proceedings lack intensity in the 60-second teaser.
The throbbing background music of the 'Arjun Reddy' teaser has been replaced by a Carnatic song and it's hardly gripping. And if you are looking for another Deverakonda-type madness and earnestness on the face of debutant hero Dhruv, you will be in for a disappointment. Try with magnifying glasses and you will still fail.
Megha reprises Shalini Pandey and she comes with those girl-next-door looks for sure. There are those lip-locks, male gazes.
Eeswari Rao (who was seen as Rajinikanth's wife in 'Kaala') has a major supporting role. Music is by Radhan.
